What is the similarity between Zimbabwe and Malaysia lately?
Zimbabwe official inflation soared to 2.2 million percent in Zimbabwe, by far the highest in the world and has shot as high as 70 million percent in the past year for some basic goods sold on the black market and Malaysia's annual inflation rate spiraled to a 27-year high in June after a fuel price hike sent the cost of food and transport soaring. Consumer prices in June rose 7.7 percent compared with the same month in 2007, more than double the 3.8 percent annual inflation rate recorded in May, according to data released late Wednesday by the Statistics Department.
Highest Inflation Rate in 27 years vs Highest Inflation Rate in the world. I think the BN government will happily compare ourselves to Zimbabwe and tell its citizen we are doing just fine. Are we?
