Patriotic or Insulting?

Come across this car with Jalur Gembilang Tape all over the top of the bonnet, and part of the flag is tugged under the bonnet into the engine compartment.

I am sure the flag cannot fly freely and proud. The national symbol is trapped on a car dirty, oily and hot bonnet; should we penalized those who treat our national symbol as such?
