Murder, which comes under Section 302 of the Penal Code, is a non-bailable offence and punishable with the mandatory death penalty.

Many Malaysians were surprised and some were even in disbelief when the 11 policemen are assigned to desk duty instead of arrested under Section 302 of Penal Code. Section 302 of the Penal Code, a capital offense charge, thus rendering it non-bailable.



Now all Malaysians from all walk of life would want the 11 policemen who are under investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code be arrested. It should not be a double standard when implementing the law.
