Malaysia Ensures World Class Education Institutions

I was reading the following news report on Bernama, and cannot help but have to laugh about it. How can we ensure to have a world class institutions when the best is sidelined and other who are second or third best are admitted. How can we have world class education institutions when meritocracy is not the order of the day in the University for the educationist and student selection.

In the past 40 years, UM and USM our top universities in Boleh Land have slide in world ranking until we are not even featured in the top 200 of the world top universities ranking. We need to overhaul our education system to make it competitive where the best are admitted to the best, the less able go to the less prestigious one. Only then we can be crawling back slowly from no man land to ensure world class education institutions.

Talk C**K is easy.

A teacher in primary said this to the class "7 push 4 equal how many". What he tried to teach was "7 - 4 = ?" and he simply translated it from "7 tolak 4". Can you imagine?

"We have an open door policy and there are very active discussions (about it) now, I know one particular institution (that would like to set up its branch campus) in the Iskandar Development Region in the near future," he told reporters after opening the 17th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here Tuesday.
